The image for Cutting Horses” was captured during a trip to Italy in 2011. You could call itg a spaghetti western. I painted it as an experiment in the dot painting style where the surface layer overtakes the bright colored dot matrix quite like the dust raised in the pursuit. It’s a masterpiece of technique and color.
